We as a group of artist mothers from all over the world are making it our priority to turn off the tv/video games so that we can give our children the sacred experience to connect with the fast disappearing natural world. We will freelens our adventures into the wild and share them through this monthly project. The goal of this collaborative is to journey “Into Something Better”.
I’m honored to join this group of very talented artists this month for the first time. Please join me in going around our blog circle, by clicking on this link that will lead you to my talented friend, Amanda Voelker, while she documents her beautiful life with her family in China.
Chasing fireflies is something I have no memory of. I’m not really sure if it’s just something I don’t remember or if we really never saw any growing up in Arizona, California or Colorado. What I do know is that they’re magical creatures. To drive up the drive, look out the window, or walk the neighborhood and see these bugs lighting up their world, our world, everywhere is incredible.
This is a memory that I hope will stay strong in my children’s minds. We have spent hours already in the short few weeks that they have been visiting. We have new other types of creatures near us now too, of the human kind. These sweet girls have already been so good for the boys and for my soul. Blessed to live in a community where it feels as though we’ve always been a part of each others lives.
