This month our theme for 24 Frames Filming Project, is “Get in the Frame”. I was a little bit terrified as I thought about how I would go about putting myself in the frame in a way that is not only pleasing to my eye, but in a way that didn’t seem cliche (or make me look terrible! 😉 ). As I thought about all the little ways that I am a Mother to my boys and a spiritual leader in my home my thoughts went to…. This is a labor of love, not the process of getting in the frame, but the little things that I do, many and mostly unnoticed. But I’m okay with that. Everything I do is for them; and this is what I have always felt was meant for me.
As I began culling through several hours of small clips I had taken over the course of 2 or 3 days, my mind turned to thoughts about more than just ‘being’ in the frame. I wanted to show how I am there too, but with feeling, with emotion. For me, it’s important that if I’m going to put my work out there, I want it to have an emotional impact. I want to make these memories beautiful. How could I show them that I was there too? Will this be a treasure for them in years to come? It already is for me.
I came across two scriptures that I loved and was immediately touched to put together my film in a way that I hope shows my love for them in bigger ways than a hug and an I Love You, though that is a huge part of letting them know that.
“The Lord will fulfill His promise for me” Psalm 138:8
“Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been Created” inspired by scripture in the book of Esther in the Old Testament.
I hope you enjoy this glimpse.
Please go around our blog circle and see how my sweet photography friends got in the frame this month too!!
